Thy Words Giveth Light is a site devoted to the old way of looking at the scriptures. That they are in fact the Words of God given to us and that they are sufficient for all our needs. This was the view that was successful for centuries. It is a view point that produced crops of very strong Christians. People of great faith and a strong personal walk with the Lord. Many of the study methods of today do not follow the old path but instead find their root in Higher Criticism. Let us return to looking at the Bible like it is the very Word of God. We should get back to the method explained for us in Psalm 119:130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. All of the material on this website follows the above principal. Teaching Adult Sunday school can be a challenge to say the least. It is hard to work a full time job, take care of a family, serve in the church, and teach Sunday school week after week. I have put together a wide variety of material that can be used to help a teacher keep their adult class fresh and interesting. There are sections on this website on Christian quotes, Christian history, Christian poetry, and Christ in the scriptures. They can all be used in lessons themselves or as a short section at the end of your class. There are also Adult Sunday school lessons that you can use to study and tweak for your class. My prayer is that this website will be a blessing to you and your class.
